La verdad es, no tenía ni idea que sería de esta
forma. Desde la mañana las cosas se mostraban aburridas y sin mucha
transcendencia. Sin embargo a medida en que el día se hacía viejo todo fue
cambiando lentamente. Después del almuerzo dejamos el hotel para jugar en el
casino de la esquina. Entre la ruleta y cartas de póker, me gane unos duros. No
soy una estrella apostando, pero cuando se está ganando, se está ganando y no
puedes detenerte cuando tienes buena suerte. Luego nos dirijamos al bar con la
entrada que se encontrara con más gente. Afortunadamente, no estaba muy lejos.
Un tiempo bien gastado, luego de varias pintas decidí que ya era suficiente para salir por algo de comer
e ir a la cama temprano. Así pasaron los
días visitando todas las atracciones, entre conciertos y espectáculos. El
últimos día, casi a punto de ir al aeropuerto, tenía un cambio en el bolsillo, me
dirigí a una maquina que ofrecía un premio de un millón de dólares, había que
intentarlo. Tomo una moneda del
bolsillo, la miré fijamente, la volteé, la besé y la introduje en la máquina, mi
suerte estaba echada. Halo la palanca y empiezan los números empezaron a girar, hasta parar
lentamente en los tres aciertos consecutivos. El griterío era impresionante, me
estremecían sin cesar, me gritaban llorando con emoción… hasta que me despierto
sudando y me di cuenta que no había puesto el reloj de alarma y me había dejado
el avión.
The
truth is, I had no idea it would be this way. Since early morning things went
slow and boring. However, as the day grew old, everything changed on smoothly.
After lunch we left the hotel and went to gambling to the near corner casino.
Between the roulette and poker cards, I won few quids. I am not a betting star
myself but, when you are winning you are winning and you cannot stop when
lucky. We agreed to go to the bar with the busiest entrance which fortunately
was not that far away. After having a great time and having drunk few pints I
decided to leave for a bite to then go to sleep early. It was the same day after day, between
concerts and performances. The last day just before going to the airport, I
noticed I had some change in my pocket. I faced the machine offering the one
million dollars price, it had to be done. I took a coin, I stared it
thoroughly, I flipped it, I kissed it and I threw it inside, my luck was
casted. I pulled the lever and the numbers started going around until slowly
stopping the three signs as the jackpot. The roar was unbelievable, I was
unstoppably being shaken, all shouted me crying emotionally... until I woke
sweating realising I did not set the clock alarm and that my fly had already
left me.
