Ciudadano Britànico./ Becoming British Citizen.

Después de tanto persistencia, de aplicar, esperar y procurar la ciudadanía Británica ya se ha hecho una realidad. Fue un proceso largo (llenar formas, hacer entrevistas, realizar exámenes, etc. ) que me ha llevado más de siete años en este país. Los prospectos que esto puede implicar son muy variados, desde un nuevo empleo hasta mudarse a otro país. La ceremonia fue muy emotiva (realizada en el Town Hall del Aberdeen City Council, Scotland) con unas sentidas palabras por parte de las autoridades. Sinceramente después de tanto tiempo, me sentí como si fuese mi casa... Una de las cosas que me gusta más de esta cultura, es su buen sentido del humor.

After so much persistency, waiting time, after so many applications, after so many interviews (tests, filling forms), learning the language, etc., it had finally came true. I became a British citizen. It was a very long process, took me in total seven years living in this country. After this, my life broads in every imaginable way, from moving houses to changing jobs abroad. The ceremony was quite emotional, held in the Town Hall of Aberdeen City Council (Scotland). The leading authorities gave a very emotional speech that made me truly feel home... One of the things that I like the most about this culture, is its good sense of humor.
