El Periódico de Wall Street./ The Wall Street Journal.

Me decidí a escribir una nota acerca de WSJ porque me pareció increíble que para el año 1889 ya había periódicos especializados en el área de finanzas, economía etc. No es que en Venezuela no tengamos historia de periódicos tan viejos, por ejemplo sólo tres años más tarde en 1892 fue la publicación del primer ejemplar el cojo ilustrado (en formato de revista  y con entrega quincenal) que representa el inicio del periodismo digamos a gran escala en el pais. Pero un ejemplar que se centre fundamentalmente en el comportamiento del dinero para una fecha tan lejana me parece sorprendente.

I decided to write a note regarding to WSJ because it seemed incredible that for such an early dat (1889) there were already specialised newspapers in finance, economy, etc. To be honest, three years later (1892) we also started publishing the newspaper Cojo Ilustrado in Venezuela. Initially, this was a sort of magazine published every other week which represented the beginning of journalism at big scale. But such specific newspapers focus in money for such early days it seems unbelievable to me.
