Sandy en Caracas?./ Sandy tropical storm?.

Ayer en la tarde la capital se paralizó con el aguacero que cayó sin previo aviso. A tempranas horas de la noche rayos y centellas iluminaban el cielo caraqueño como si fuese la mitad del día, así de fuerte fue la lluvia de anoche, bastante impresionante. Entiendo que en NY está el huracán Sandy haciendo mucho daño, al igual que la semana pasada en las islas del Caribe, pero supongo que esta lluvia no puede ser ligada con aquel evento  atmosférico que se encuentra tan al norte, o como dicen los entendidos un coletazo… no estamos lo suficientemente lejos como para que el huracán Sandy este en NY y aquí al mismo tiempo? Como que el efecto mariposa se está manifestando en su máxima expresión.

Caracas stopped completely yesterday after a massive afternoon rain. Thunderlights and lightning flashes transformed the cloudy sky into dazzling moments within the dark.  It was impressive to watch, hear and feel. On the other hand, I understand the Sandy hurracain is making damage in NY, following its destructive pass for some caribbean islands during last week. I suppose these two atmospheric events cannot be linked given to the distance between one and another. We are certainly too far away from NY for Sandy to show up here, as well, at once. It seems to me that the butterfly effect it’s been echoed at its best.
