Por que será que los domingos son tan aburridos?./ Boring sundays.

Ya de solo pensarlo se me está pegando el aburrimiento…  Yo no soy una persona muy religiosa pero me pregunto si las personas que van a rezar, se la pasan mejor que una persona que prefiere quedarse en su casa?  Tal vez es hasta lógico, cuando alguien va a escuchar la palabra se tiene que parar temprano, pensar en que tiene por delante un día más o menos común. Te desayunas, te bañas,  te vistes, etc., si se tiene familia (niños etc.) tienes que  acomodarlos, seguramente apurarlos la mayoría de las veces. Después que llegas al sitio, seguramente ya tienes personas que conoces en el lugar si siempre vas a la misma Iglesia/ sinagoga/ mezquita/ templo,  por eso  socializas. Después de la oración, socializas de nuevo y te vas a casa si es el caso pero ya transcurrió la mitad del día (igualmente si es en la noche). En cambio yo, cuando me paro un domingo lo único que pienso es  que tengo un largo día en frente de mí.  Se  me ocurre que puedes ir a la playa, o puedes organizar algo de comer en la tarde (parrilla, etc.), pero, siempre la pregunta: que está abierto hoy? Por suerte la televisión por cable tiene infinidades de opciones que te pueden ayudar a pasar el día, sin embargo, tienes en la cabeza que es domingo. No te provoca hacer nada, si sales a la calle siempre hay menor flujo de carros/ personas lo que hace la calle menos divertida…  una  buena opción claro es ir al parque/ montaña en la mañana, caminar un rato, o pasar el día en la cama/ internet leyendo el periódico. En la tarde una opción es ir al cine o a salir a comer algo en la noche, pero después que te estás divirtiendo tanto vuelves a pensar que el día siguiente tienes que volver al trabajo, etc.  Yo definitivamente, prefiero los viernes!. 

Only thinking about it makes me bored… I am not a very religious person but I wonder whether people going out to pray on Sundays have a better time than those staying at home. It might be even logical to think that when you are going out to pray you need to get up early, you need to prepare yourself and your family, specially if you have kids at home.   Having to breakfast, getting a shower, getting dressed, etc. which makes it a normal out of weekend day. Consequently you go to your praying place, socialise beforehand and afterwards and then you go back home. Essentially you have spent most of the day doing something useful for yourself.  In my case, I can only see a very long day ahead me on a Sunday morning. You could perhaps going to the park, organise something to eat for you and your family (barbeque, picnic, etc.), read a book, read newspapers, search the internet etc, but it does not change the fact is Sunday.  Thankfully cable TV is available for almost all so you have endless options to watch while still in bed. If you go out however, flux of cars and people dramatically decreases, so you feel left out… you could also go to a mountain trip as well as going for a nice walk, or for those lucky enough a travel to their nearest beach could be a luxury for the day. For those who stay, a visit to the cinema to watch the latest movie or even going to your preferred place for a meal could be the perfect final for a long day. However, you cannot take away your mind the fact that next day is Monday and you need to start all over again. I definitely prefer fridays.
